Amy Gardner Dean attended Olivet College in MI, earning a BA in Studio Art with concentrations in Painting, Sculpture, and Medical/Biological Illustration. Believing firmly that an artist is a jack-of-all-trades, Amy has been a Radio DJ, an Art Instructor at a Men’s Federal Prison, an Elementary School Art Teacher, the Lead Instructor/Head Counselor/Trail Boss at a Horseback Riding Camp, a Veterinary Surgical Technician, and the Assistant Manager of a Canoe and Kayak retailer. A mom to two teenage boys, she is the Resident Artist & Product Specialist for Jerry’s Artarama’s Corporate Offices, and host of the weekly Jerry’s Facebook Live Show.
Besides hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking, Dean shows Great Danes and Pointers. She has owned or bred 8 Dane AKC Champions, 1 UKC Champion, earned 2 CGC Titles, and had one Certified Therapy Dog from only two Dane litters under the kennel name Dogma Danes. She is currently completing her final requirements to apply for her AKC Provisional Judging license.
